Granulated filter media are products of natural origin, used to retain solids and dissolved during the filtration process by gravity or pressure.

It is possible to use more than one type of filter medium, creating the concept of multilayer.

​

Depending on the application, filter media are used, such as: sand, pebble, activated carbon, mineral activated carbon, anthracite coal, natural zeolite, special zeolites, cationic, anionic and mixed resins.
